Senior Account Manager - Search

LookSmart is looking for a hardworking, proactive Senior Account Manager –Search, based in San Francisco. The ideal candidate will be responsible for training and mentoring teammates, addressing client needs and overseeing end-to-end management of LookSmart's existing advertiser relationships. Measures of success include ad campaign revenue delivered vs. targets, up-sell and optimization effectiveness, client satisfaction and retention levels, and contribution to overall account team and business unit.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Manage the scheduling, production and implementation of online search advertising campaigns.
  • Interface with sales teams to transition new ad campaigns from contract to launch.
  • Support customers’ technical and product inquiries.
  • Monitor and analyze daily and monthly campaign performance.
  • Own campaign management, campaign analysis and optimization.
  • Identify, sell, and implement creative client growth opportunities.
  • Monitor and help correct any delivery or inventory issues.
  • Act as the primary contact point for all client issues and provide the "customer voice" to other teams at LookSmart.
  • Monitor client payment records and Reconcile billing issues.
  • Provide support and collaborate with account management team to troubleshoot, develop creative growth and optimization opportunities and execute daily initiatives.

Required Qualifications/Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience using one or more Internet ad serving systems.
  • High-level of accuracy and keen attention to detail.
  • High level of aptitude and experience with trouble-shooting and comprehensive, data-driven problem solving.
  • 5 to 8 years experience in interactive media and advertising including familiarity with CPC, CPM, CPA pricing models; agency experience is desirable.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment managing multiple projects and tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal departments as well as clients/agencies.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Contract negotiation and online ad sales experience.
  • Strong client service background.
  • Consultative approach to campaign management, revenue growth, and optimization.
  • Ability to strategically prioritize workload based on balance of business and client needs.
  • Experience leading teams and management experience a plus.

Desired Skills:

  • Familiarity with PPC search marketing.
  • Experience leading teams and management experience a plus.
