Product Marketing Manager

LookSmart is looking for a Product Marketing Manager to join our Product Team. In this role, you, will develop communications around new product features and launches, perform competitive analysis, and develop user facing collateral. Strong communication skills are a must.  The Product Team is responsible for LookSmart’s two major products: CPC-based text advertising and the licensing of the AdCenter technology in a SaaS model. This key role is leveraged across both products.

Responsibilities Include:

• Clearly and succinctly communicate new product features and their benefits to account managers and customers.
• Develop and maintain competitive analyses. Profile competitor’s offerings, positioning, and specific features. Create SWOT analyses.
• Identify customer needs and opportunities for the product roadmap to meet those needs.
• Train account managers on new features and their benefits so they can train their clients.
• Develop training materials, including the AdCenter Manual, for account managers to use in training their clients.
• Represent the product at industry events including trade shows.
• Serve as the internal evangelist for the product offering.

Required Qualifications:

• 2-5 years experience in product management or product marketing.
• Strong communication skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to hold your own in a technical discussion.

Desired Skills:

• Online advertising experience.
• Experience with ASPs.
