Distribution Account Manager, Traffic Management
LookSmart is currently seeking a Distribution Account Manager to join our Traffic Management team based in San Francisco. The person in this position will build strong, lasting relationships with partners by understanding their needs and business objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Assume responsibility for Internet Advertising analytics and integrate these into overall view for the client publisher.
- Develop and implement interviews with current publisher clients to determine what type of analytics would be most useful to them.
- Use statistical models, identify, propose and implement new traffic driving opportunities within account base including new product features/enhancements, marketing programs and new technology.
- Work with new publishers to monitor and optimize their traffic.
- Develop conversion benchmarks for publishers; monitor and report results against those benchmarks.
- Develop and make presentations to publisher clients and perform ad hoc research utilizing available resources.
- Provide Sales with regular weekly reporting on partner traffic and conversion rates.
- Track, report, monitor and communicate performance of each partner.
- Work with other team members to compile general performance metrics for the Partnership Portfolio as a whole, with particular emphasis on tracking performance against goals set by management on a monthly and quarterly basis.
- Participate on project teams.
Required qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in business or an analytical discipline is required.
- Minimum 3 years’ proven track record of account management/account executive experience.
- At least 2 years’ experience in multivariate statistical data analysis applied to business problems.
- Proven track record of ability to forge and maintain good business relationships.
- Demonstrated analytical and computer skills.
- Excellent communication and presentations skills with top-notch customer service approach.
- Basic understanding of mixed-effects modeling techniques, clustering, decision trees on large scale datasets desired.
- Proven history of self-direction, problem solving, strongly organizational and project management with collaborative style.
- Proven experience in using quantitative and qualitative analysis to assess partnership performance and make recommendations for each account.
- Capable of handling multiple mission-critical projects simultaneously; able to meet deadlines.
- Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced work environment and to demonstrate thoughtful leadership in assessing problems/opportunities and recommending an approach to solving problems and pursuing opportunities.
- Ability to work successfully in a team environment, liaising with all other organizations within LookSmart including Product, Advertising, Finance, Engineering, Sales, Ad Operations, Marketing.
- General understanding of the Internet and of the media and business models that have shaped it. Will need to gain deep insight into competitive landscape and stay across all changes in each partner’s segment.
- Creative problem-solving approach.
Preferred qualifications:
- MBA or Master’s degree preferred.
